It is possible to travel between islands, but if you want to fly you generally have to go through Nassau, the capital on New Providence island. Another option may be a charter flight or a boat. Abaco is the closest island to Grand Bahama so that’s probably an option for you. To see all of the charter airlines, check out http://www.bahamas.com, which is the Ministry of Tourism web site. It will also give you some good ideas of what to see and do.
