Q&A: Things to do on Andros Island ?

Question by bigtruckuser05: Things to do on Andros Island ?
Does any body know anything about the nightlife on Andros Island? Are there any strip clubs, massage parlors, bars, and so on. I have not been successful finding information on the internet this time so any personal experience there would help. Thanks and have a great day.

All of The Bahamas Out Islands boast abundant natural attractions, but Andros Island – the largest yet most sparsely developed of all The Bahamas – is the king when it comes to superlative natural experiences. It’s a great place for a laid-back beach getaway, wedding or honeymoon, but for eco travelers, kayakers, bird watchers, hikers, snorkelers, divers and fishermen the big island of The Bahamas is the ideal vacation destination.

If you are looking for nightlife, Nassau or Grand Bahama Island would be a better choice.

Good Luck)

Nassau: Atlantis(Waterpark/aquarium/etc.); Blue Lagoon Island for Dolphin or Sea Lion Encounter; Blackbeard’s Cay/Stingray Adventure; Booze Cruise; parasailing; jet skis; Staurt Cove’s for diving/snorkeling/mini sub;Powerboat Adventure to Exumas;Pirates of Nassau;Ardastra Zoo;Arawak Cay(Fish Fry);Queen’s Staircase/Watertower;Segway tour from the Cricket Club restaurant;scooter rentals;various snorkeling tours;Flying Cloud catamarans
Don’t forget to stop at daiquiri hut across from Cable Beach casino.Just a little shack, but some of the best drinks you will get…ANYWHERE. Fresh fruit…with or without rum…reasonable price for Bahamas ($ 6 with/$ 5 without alcohol). And you can mix fruits.Just ask!!!
And they have those illegal Cuban cigars…real ones…just don’t bring any back to the States.LOL

What are free/inexpensive things to do in South Florida?

Question by occali2006: What are free/inexpensive things to do in South Florida?
I am coming to Fort Lauderdale with my 2 teens (will also stay 2 nights on grand bahama island – Freeport). July 30 – Aug 3. What can we do that is free or inexpensive?
We will also visit Orlando and I will get Disney tickets.
I wanted them to swim with dolphins, but it is expensive.
We are bringing our own snorkel gear.
We will have a rental car.

For free… enjoy the beautiful beaches!
The National Parks are inexpensive and beautiful too, in most you can grill, fish and sometimes rent a canoo to further explore, or bikes or segways. F.i. check out the Hugh Taylor Birch park in Ft Lauderdale.
On a rainy day, you can also go the malls (f.i. the Sawgras Mills) and allow each person a small amount of money (like 10-20 dollars) to spend as they want, then meet again at the food court a few hours later and see what they could find.
To swim with dolphins for less money than in Miami Seaquarium, there´s a place on Isla Morada on the way to Key West, called Theater of the Sea. They also offer very nice shows, like a small Seaworld but I was surprised at how much fun I had, I expected much less. And the entrance of course is much less! Check this link: http://www.theaterofthesea.com/dolphin.swim.htm
